Stamford Gateway Transportation Center

This project involved the construction of a new addition as well as renovations to the existing station. The concourse addition allows passengers to travel from the station under Interstate 95 to downtown Stamford. Banton performed three major scopes of work with its own forces: concrete work with radius foundations, an aluminum composite paneling system, and unique architectural metal fabrications. The small footprint of the site, proximity to the street, and daily station operations all made this project a logistical challenge.
