Banton was retained to restore the facility's 33 housing units, common areas, library and atrium after they were extensively damaged by fire. Banton overcame many challenges throughout the project; including a fully occupied reconstruction period and rebuilding the facility without architectural plans due to the fact the original plans were modified in the field during the construction process. As a result, the restoration was essentially performed as a historical restoration, as all contents that could be salvaged were catalogued and later reinstalled using photographs of the prior facility. Banton also worked closely with the Owner to accurately replicate architectural details.
