The overall project consisted of the complete restoration of the historic Station Building and improvements to the existing Platform Building.
Banton's scope included stabilization of the Station Building, followed by replacement of the foundation and reframing of the entire roofing structure.
All work was accomplished in order to maintain the structure's historic characteristics. Of particular interest is the ticket office's counter windows, which were sent to a historic window restoration company. They were then reinstalled with the same wrought iron security panels that were part of the original building in 1873.
Essentially everything outside of the building is new; including the sidewalks, ADA ramps, stairs, railings, signage, HVAC systems, lighting, fencing and landscaping.
