Darien Train Station

This project involved the complete historical renovation of the existing station. The scope also entailed the addition of two elevator systems and new canopy systems over the existing platforms. In order to construct the concrete structures for the new elevators, extensive work had to be performed on the existing railroad bridge over Route One. This included driven horizontal tie-backs and soil nailing procedures. The project also required the construction of fully operational temporary facilities prior to the renovations.
