May 12th, 2022
Banton’s Executive Management Team is pleased to announce the advancement of Sumi Oldman, who is currently transitioning into the newly created role of Preconstruction Director. Upon completion of this transition, Sumi will be responsible for leading all activities pertaining to project and subcontractor prequalification, bidding/estimating and preconstruction.
Sumi joined Banton in 2016, and has steadily taken on new responsibilities throughout her employment. In addition to her duties in the Estimating Department, Sumi serves as the firm’s EEO Officer and is Secretary of Banton’s Safety Committee. Sumi also assists in the execution of Banton’s business development activities.
Additionally, Sumi is an instrumental part of Banton’s IT department. Employees regularly call upon Sumi as the “go-to” person for their IT needs and are always met with her trademark characteristics – a genuine willingness to help, her contagious laugh and a positive attitude.
Sumi balances her career at Banton along with a busy home life, as a wife and mother of two young children. Her success is a testament to the possibility of breaking barriers as a highly valued woman in the construction industry. Sumi’s career path also stands as an example of Banton’s commitment to promoting its employees from within the organization.
“Through hard work and dedication, Sumi has become a pillar in the company and has established herself in the construction community,” noted Banton’s Vice President James Nenninger. “Our subcontractors and clients alike would agree she is an exceptional talent and pleasure to work with.”
We invite you to join us in congratulating Sumi for her accomplishments, and wishing her a long and rewarding future with Banton.
