Bridgeport Railroad Station Improvements

This project incorporated the installation of new overhead canopies and repair of the platform area adjacent to the tracks. Banton also upgraded all of  the electrical components and Metro-North Railroad owned equipment servicing the facility. Due to the site being accessible only by water on one side, Banton brought in two crane and material barges in order to erect the steel. This operation was coordinated with overnight track outages, enabling the station to remain in normal operation throughout the project’s duration.
